Who am I?

A Life at the Edge of Worlds: The Story of an InBetweenian

Every human life, in my view, is a unique world. If shared with sincerity and depth, it can transform others. I am an Iranian born in the culturally rich city of Shiraz. In my teenage years, I founded the amateur astronomy club Sepahr and co-founded Iran’s first Youth Parliament. From an early age, I was acquainted with Abrahamic religions and gained deep knowledge of Arabic. So, I speak or understand Persian, Arabic, Albanian, and English, and I’m learning Dutch.

At 16, I stepped into the world of music. By 18, I had joined the Iranian opposition abroad, using music as a medium for political resistance against Islamic Fascism and the dictatorship in my birthland. For 14 years, from 2003 to the last months of 2016, I endured torture, war, absolute isolation, and exile in the world’s most dangerous place at that time. Eventually, as an “internationally protected person,” I was relocated and rescued from this cycle of danger. At 32, having lived disconnected from the world (family, friends, internet, technology, education, etc.) for fourteen years, I started life anew.

Knowing I had no time to waste, I fully embraced life. I got married and built a beautiful family, the source of my deepest joys. Today, I am the proud father of three extraordinary sons; my wife is the love of my life and my hero.

I resumed my education, becoming a researcher, a methodology educator, and an executive member of one of the world’s first free online universities for the deprived. Alongside a friend, I co-founded a startup dedicated to knowledge exchange and learning, which continues to grow to become a full-fledged knowledge and learning infrastructure and online university.

Now, I share my experiences and knowledge to help others. I am an InBetweenian who thrives in interstitial spaces, navigating the edges where creativity, intelligence, and resilience collide. I support and collaborate with individuals who, like me, have lived on the margins and embody extraordinary creativity and insight.

If you subscribe, I promise it will be worth your time. I invite brilliant, creative, and exceptional individuals with invaluable life experiences to join my journey by becoming a paid subscriber. Your support will help this vision grow and support your own vision.

Today, I live with my wonderful family in The Hague, a city that embodies peace and justice (or, at least, whatever is left of them).
